A tree and telegraph pole both fell in the Saint Field area, near Belfast
Hundreds of homes in parts of the UK have been left without electricity after severe gales.
Power providers in north-west England and Northern Ireland have been working to reconnect those affected.
Gusts of up to 70mph were recorded in Londonderry, 64mph in Cumbria and 63mph in Gwynedd.
The BBC Weather Centre said the high winds were due to low pressure in the Atlantic which is pushing a weather front from east to west across the UK.
A spokeswoman for BBC Weather said: "This is a very typical autumnal set up, but as we have had an exceptionally dry September and the trees are still in leaf, wind and rain events like this can, and have, caused some disruption."
- In Northern Ireland, power lines and street lights have been knocked down
- In south Wales, heavy rain has also caused flooding
- In Cumbria, two schools were closed and large amounts of debris were left on roads
Electricity North West said 600 customers remained without electricity, down from 2,500 earlier on Monday.
Northern Ireland Electricity said 1,200 customers were without power as of 12:55 BST.
A spokeswoman said it had been in "regular contact" with the Met Office over the weekend.
She said: "We have restored power to around 7,000 customers so far and we will continue to carry out repairs and restore electricity supplies as safely and quickly as possible.
"There are over 200 individual faults, many of these affecting small pockets of isolated customers and it may take some hours before these repairs can be completed."
There is also disruption to public transport after overhead wires were damaged.
Network Rail said only one train an hour was able to run between Penrith and Oxenholme, affecting services from London Euston to Edinburgh and Glasgow.
As a result, buses are replacing trains between Preston and Carlisle.
The Met Office confirmed on Monday that last month was the driest September since records began.
