A man has appeared in court accused of arson following a series of fires in Oxfordshire, including one that caused major damage to council headquarters.
Andrew Main, 47, of Rokemarsh Farm, Rokemarsh, is charged with two counts of arson with intent to endanger life and two counts of arson reckless as to whether life was endangered.
He nodded to confirm his details but did not speak during the hearing.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Oxford Crown Court on 30 January.
The charges relate to Thursday's blazes at the offices of South Oxfordshire District Council, a funeral parlour in Crowmarsh Gifford and a thatched cottage in Rokemarsh.
At their peak, 27 crews were tackling the fires which started within 10 minutes of each other shortly after 03:00 GMT.
